lol... sorry to hear that.. still pretty funny.

It has been discussed on here before that they are definately not worth the money, and that the same/similar could be achieved using an AU XR series III snorkel and a K&N filter or similar. and ontop of that add a mandrel bent intake tubing.... that should be about $300? and would be alot better...

Sorry to hear that again mate...

Cheers

I got an SS Snorkal, i'm getting slightly better economy & more power. More noticable at high speeds. It's close to double the size of the Tickford Snorkal.

I got mine for $250. For power for your dollar its not so good. But as my insurance aren't to keen on performance, I wanna do all the little stuff even if it costs big $$ just to get a little bit more out of the engine.

they are not worth the money. but that doesn't mean they don't work

by the way how much feul do you save with it??

$3 or $4 a week if so it'll pay it self of in about a year and half

I have one and it flows the best of course but yes, very expensive. Get the GT snorkel for $40 instead and put a high flow air filter in as well. You'll feel the difference after that.

Actually no, sometimes i'm breaking 600 kms from a tank. So it'll pay itself off much quicker than a year and half.

Once you'll start really modifying your engine, she'll want more air and the ELGT snorkle is only good for so much...

i do actually have a k&n filter which i put in before changing intake. economy has increased a fair bit, the average on my trip computer was 15.3 but it quickly dropped to 15.0, but that wasn't the real reason i bought it

sorry i have had a few cans

Reading this, I'm seriously considering chucking on a ELGT intake... (1/2 way there with the BMC panel in already)

Oooh, and maybe a ss throttle body too... hehehe One day!

I suppose for 40 bucks, the ELGT intake cant be that bad, since it's actually on the "top of the line" GT...

Wolfpac
