my starter motor has just gone on my EBII. Just wanted to know if there are any aftermarket starter motors that are better then the standard ones.
And how much do they go for?

my ebII's starter died also...

had to get towed to auto elec and they replaced it $210 all up. Assuming aftermarket/reco starter.

I'm an auto elec by trade, now working for an auto elec wholesaler, and you wont get better then the standard bosch.. BXF129 is the number, it does every falcon 6 since XP right through to BA. there were a couple of unlucky AU's that had a mitsubishi on them, but the bosch is better any day of the week. Its about $110 trade most places and about $180 retail. We do a bosch copy as well, which is a little cheaper, but i'd only sell probably 1 of these to every 20 boschies..

if you want, let me know where you are in the country, and i can organise one for you at trade ($101+ gst). We have about 20 stores round the country, so unless you're out in the sticks, it shouldnt be too far away.
