is there a way to adjust how tight the column latch locks, (below steering column) because mine is very loose and slight pressure on the wheel causes the lever let go and the column falls down to its minimum height.

Yes there is, but it takes a bit of fiddling.....only small amounts of adjustment make a big difference.

where abouts is the nut/bolt to adjust it?
