XR's fitted with slightly improved head, larger exhaust valves, Different Cam, 300kpa fuel reg, Tickford mapped ECU, 3.45:1 Diff.

A different diff ratio will help. The Xr6s came with a 3.45 ratio diff I think, which helps them get off the line. The basic list of 6 cyl mods will help (it's in the 6 cyl workshop forum). Easy stuff without cracking the engine open - Extractors, exhaust, intake mods, J3 chip with a tune for the mods on it. Then if you want to keep going you have different cams, shaved, polished and ported heads, bigger valves, etc. etc.
