Yeah I have heard that CMS are/where doing it, but it's expensive and didn't give all that much gain for the $$. But yeah it's defiantly possible.

Hmm... Would have had to have done a lot more then just make it a 4.2 to beat an xr8 wouldn't he?

Its got a turbo on it, it can make 460rwkw without having to stroke it. XR8's arnt very quick either

Pretty sure an XR6 Turbo can beat an XR8 with an exhaust and flash tune. XR6 Turbos are easy to get power out of with little effort. Stroking it to 4.2 will see an XR8 left for dead.

260rwkw against 460rwkw...that my friend, is a hell of a big gap between power. Of course you were going to be beaten.

bf and fg turbo's dont need to be stroked to make that power, decent cooler, injectors, valve springs, a decent flash tune and smash the boost can give those kind of results..

That power in the XR8 is probably only doing a low-mid 13 down the quarter when then XR6 with that power would be capable of 10's with the right tires. I think a 460rwkw would destroy anything on the road including Lambos, Ferrari's and Porsche's. Iv never seen a stroked 4.2 Barra engine though. I know some guy was actually making the capacity smaller to make it rev more (8000-9000)

If they could also get enough traction 8-) The 6 would sit there smokin em up all day long... with that kind of power I'd be looking into a tru trac rear end?

i didnt go into too much detail but yeah he took off really slow i had a good 30m to 40m on him before he put his foot down... he had 295 on the rear too. even they would be toast if he planted it. he said he hit 497rwkws on 28psi... but again still sceptical. he had 3.9something diff ratio too...

If he was correct with those dyno figures the torque on that thing would be huge!

18psi with 460rwkw and 28psi with 497rwkw, something doesn't sound right. Alot of people are using e85 which are making boosted car make huge numbers.
