funny thing was the blonde girl in my supercheap was actually the most helpful and the two blokes who have spent more time on their hair than their cars were completely hopeless, just reinforces the better quality of shop that repco autobarn etc run and how s**t supercheap is. hard to go somewhere else tho wen u got $250 worth of vouchers to use haha

Supercheap has its place but if I want parts specific for my cars forget it....

You need to know what you are after, never ask them for advice, they are hopeless....
My usual querie is where can I find??? looked everywhere... they take me to where I need to go but anything besides that useless....

If I want parts, I go to Sprint Auto Parts, Repco and sometimes Ford.....
Parts Boys (Local to me) and are priced very good too....

I wonder where Jake (barnzey_92) is to honourably defend his workplace.

They aren't too bad but the funny thing is that the smaller store tends to have more parts whilst the larger stores have more accessories.

For the car that I own now absolutely nothing bar oil filters and air filters is an in stock item regardless of whether I go to supercheap, repco, toyota, and all the others. Its a pain in the a*** but you don't understand how lucky you are with a falcon or commodore until your main mode of transport is a lesser known model of vehicle past a certain age with a very specific driveline.

I'm sure if you can plan ahead on work you want to do, places like Repco can order the parts in for you. You would be surprised what myself & one of the other dudes at work have ordered in for customers!

Cheers

True but when you are diagnosing a problem like an overheating issue. There is no plan to get a certain part ahead of time.

That's a fair call, but for things like when you know you are going to do a water pump or ball joints for example, you can order ahead.

Cheers

Nothing beats Bursons for parts. Supercheap is pathetic i will never step foot into a supercheap shop & repco is really just a secret organization to ''rip every poor *c* off'' & autobarn is pretty much kmart. Bursons is the place to go for parts.

had to have my say, autobarn today = useless...
