Hey guys,

Driving the XG ute around and I've noticed somethings not right.

When driving at 100km's the engine rev's slightly higher then drops down and then goes back up to the normal revs. :( Seems like it can't make it's mind up.

Thinking that I should replace the fuel filter? Is it surging?

Thanks heaps.

Umm do you mean when you tap the accelerator a bit to go a bit faster. It could be the the transmission dropping out of overdrive so you can go faster. But i am no expert at this side of the car but thats what happened to mine an it needed a transmission service.

Cheers

Sounds like the Torque convertor lockup is dropping in and out.

I get that if I accidently leave the auto in "3rd" instead of "Drive." for too long when driving. I once noticed it when I drove for 30km up the Pacific Hwy before I realised what was going on as it kept surging and s**t. Gee I felt so stupid
