Just bought a 04 xls ba ute.Are they only half tonners,cause being a bricky id like to get the suspension changed to 750-1ton on the back ,is it expensive and do you have to touch the front suspension.thanks.

shouldn't you have checked all that out BEFORE buying the ute.

Prydey you have a real good point there! i'd reckon the back would be enough but u may as well do all of it! haha

At the price i paid mate i couldnt not buy it.If you dont know about suspension prydey keep your smart a** comments to your yourself mate.

lighten up buddy. did the missus knock you back last night.

maybe check a few wreckers. might be the cheapest option if you can find a wrecked 1 tonner and swap them over. i've put xr6t leaf springs in the back of my wagon adn they do have an extra leaf (over rider) over std leaf springs. i see tradies in those utes all the time so i think you'd be o.k. some stiffer shocks wouldn't go astray. front should be ok. left alone.

looked up ford website. xls styleside =750kg; xls cab/chassis = 1tonne.
