hey all, an opportunity has come up, and my mate is selling his BF XR6, and he offered to swap exhausts with me as he thinks his car might sell a bit easier with everything stock.

anyhoo its a full Difilippo exhaust system, from headers, high flo cat, and catback. my question is will it be a direct swap over? we are getting an exhaust shop to do it, but he booked it not me, and i wasnt sure if he asked.

Does all the XR6's have IRS? im assuming the XT does not have IRS? will this present a problem when changing the exhausts over? will the exhaust shop be able to correct it if it is a problem?

A few questions i know, just dont want any suprises :)

the hurricane system i got fitted was for a XR6 even though mine was is an XT in disguise. the system lined up good enough (there is a smaill difference when it comes to lining up the tip with the cut out of the rear bar) but really nothing to worry about, should be a sweet fit

The XD was the last falcon to run leaf springs in the a** end, from XE onwards they have IRS

No... XE to AU sedan had coil live axle.

AU sedan had IRS as option or standard on high series models.

BA sedans onwards are all IRS.

P.S. I was joking with my "are you sure comment".

ba onwards is irs. au was irs on higher levels, an option i think on forte. my forte was non irs. ba xt and ba xr6 is the same car with same motor, just different bodykit, seats, cluster, dash, and some badges.

Either pull up the handbrake or just hold the brakes and accelerate a little. If the back end drops you have IRS if you car tries to do a flip you don't have IRS :D.
