G day guys looking at putn a T5 in me EL jst need to know if there is a conversion kit for it and if it includes a ECU and roughly how much it would be to pick up a trans in W.A hop to hear from ya cheers

You'll need to do it yourself because I've already tried to get a trans shop to do it and they dont want to touch it.
You can get a full conversion kit from some of the sponsors of this site. If you know anyone who can do a conversion let me know as I would like to do it too. |

Talk to some wrecking yards. $1250 is the going price in Adelaide for the conversion (with computer).

They reckon its too hard and too many problems etc etc.
Too hard to get parts even after I said I could get "EVERYTHING". The only reason I'm selling my Fairmont is because its auto. If I could get it to manual I'll keep it. |

yeh, do that have a bludge day when the boss is out... he works on planes but is scared to try a manual conversion 
maybe we should make it a perth cruise meet, Next cruise : timmeh's house for a manual conversion i rekon with 10 people it should be too hard lol

Its not that hard, I did it to my VL, same concept.
My EL was blessed with a factory manual.
