i have a question, how do u go about getting it, do u send in ur current cam to wade and they send u back the 1636? btw im going to get this cam:)

The easiest way, seeing you're in Melbourne would be to bring your cam to us and we'll give you an exchange cam, already ground, straight up.
That way, we don't have to charge you a deposit and you don't have to worry about using a courier.
Too easy.

Sorry about that. I'm sure you can appreciate that we are always looking at ways to improve and add to our range of cam profiles.

We hadn't planned on releasing the 1636 till well into August but now that
it's been mentioned on the forum we've had to bring it forward.

Cheers

Has anyone got a dyno graph of this cam yet?

Chris, can you give us the offical run down on what this cam is supposed to do and the sorts of results ppl should expect. Ie rough idle, increased mid or high range or how much loss in low end etc.

I disagree with you Dellboy, I recon I can tell there is improvement I bet your bottom dollar I would be getting between 130 to 150 Rwkw.

The idle is reasonably smooth for an auto, you can tell with a Hi flow Exhaust there isnt a standard cam under the bonnet.

Any more info on how this cam compares to the 1604 would be greatly appreciated as ive also just fitted one. Also I assume you dont accept regrind exchanges for regrinds? 150kw, re above sounds a bit far fetched however.

Sounds great . Now get a gtech and see how it performs.

The" it feels good" doesnt really indicate the performance increase....nor does a dyno...get a few times and you will know if it is good or not.

Gtech isnt the best either. Get your bum down to a strip and check out the 60' and MPH.

0-100 gtech times are spot on and very consistent. In September my gtech is going down the 1/4 mile with a mate of mine to see how good it fares in reality.

hey!! ...the 1636 is in!! i just took it for a very light 1/4 throttle cruise for 2 hours with a friend..after 2 hours then just off the line booted it but stopped @ 60km(3500rlpm ish) i must say it does feel like its pulling you more off the line..im running stock timing...no advances, the idle got lumpier after the 2 hours (eg wen i started it the car sounded the same...idled perfect and stuff, after 2 hours at tthe lights it was the tiniest bit lumpy...its lovely, the engine notes the same wen driving, but on idle its made my exhaust sound gruntier... ive only had it running for 2 hours 30 mins, it does feel like its pulling a little bit more off the line but i havent noticed much more toruqe yet have noticed some but not huge amound yet, i probly have to run it in more and possibly reset the ECU? (wot diff does it make?) then get it dyno'd tuned...all in all its a great cam, nice idle sound and bit more off the line go but i beilvie it has to be advanced/tuned/run in alot more then just 2 hours :)
