All AU 6cyl valves are the same except the LPG Inlet valves. The Exhaust valves are the same as the HP El motors.

the au xr6 engine had a different cam, marginally better head (very marginal), tickford tune and the 300kpa fuel pressure reg.

the exhaust valve on std au's are same as the tickford ones.

the standard au i6, completely bog stock has about 10-15kw more tucked up its sleeve (depending on the condition). Buy a flash tuner and spend a couple of hours on a custom tune. The factory tune is that woefull.

according to brendan mock its one of the worst factory tunes he has ever seen as far as performance goes. Its a completely economical and reliability tune. They killed the tune to get better millage, but then used an overfuel strategy to keep wear down in extreme abusive and neglective situations... might as well nail your feet to the track and try and win a sprint race.

The VCT and the HP Pressure Reg are the same unit.

Yeah I heard they De-tuned it to make the VCT look better power wise!

But don't worry, I'll put in a nice cam and get a custom J3 Chip, we'll get er crankin

yeah mine goes good, I get a touch under 10l per 100km at the moment haha not for long hot cam will end that

its great with the lsd although very easy to flick the end out in the wet

Should be able 'to flick the end out in the wet' regardless.... my daily stockmont will fishtail at 50clicks in the wet if I punch it...
having said that, my EF which is manual, cam'd with an LSD.. dunno if you call it fun or lethal? stockos + rain = no traction in 4th! It gets 10.something l/100kms too.

Out of interest, how do you go with the timing when fitting the dissy to the au engine, position it in the same spot as the ED engine?

And with the fuel reg, I'm going to be usng the log manifold but with the AU injectors, should I use an aftermarket ajustable reg to get my 350Kpa?

After looking at all the ajustabe fuel regs, how do you ajust them? is there a kob or screw on them somewhere
