yeah well i guess this is all the joys of buying a second hand car, didn't know how old the hoses are.
But yeah as martin said if id checked the operation of the coolant sensor i would have been no worries. Yet another of life's nasty little lessons

How do yhou check the operation of the coolant sensor?

i would assume just unbolt the reservoir and tilt it until no coolant is over the sensor, and look on the dash to see if it goes on

YOU should have asked for it to be done |
