wat would happen if u ran a car without a thermostat (thermostat completely removed not blocked or stuck open)

i'd imagine the flow of coolant would be too quick and therefore not collect the heat very efficiently.

Engine will run too cold, use more fuel and will have less power.

i laught when i hear people do this,a thermostat is there for a reason,to get the motor to operating temperature as quickly as possible,please correct me if i am wrong.

i cud not agree more than what stockstandard said,because especially on a fuel injected car wen the maps at a certain temperature are adding in more fuel and ignition whilst cold.

Best just to put in a thermostat with a lower opening temp point ie 160/165 as opposed to a 190 degree job.

Just stick to the original thermostat temp, just drill an 1/8" hole, just the one before putting it in. This helps with bleeding air from the system, and stops heat shock at the radiator, saves the O'ring seal at the tank. Remember more than a 68% mix of Glycol will make the transfer of heat not happen, so 50/50 is the go.
