ive only seen it once, almost twice. just due to lack of oil sieze up and BOOM.
my sisters camry put a hole on the block and a bike i was riding siezed up on me doing 120. scary s**t when the back wheel locks up at that speed on the highway.

Cant say ive seen a 4.0 throw a rod. Ive only seen it happen on 250's at massive rpm.

Yeah, I have once, a BA XR6T that they tried to alter the rev limiter to take advantage of a different cam/boost/fuel map setup and it went boom. |
