hey guys

how do u do a throttle calibration?

Engine off
Hold throttle to the floor
Turn ignition to on (but do not start)
Hold throttle down for 60 secs
Turn ignition off
Let Throttle off
Done
Start car

Its actually done like this;

1. Run engine until operating temperature.
2. With AC off select "D".
3. Idle in "D" for 1min minimum.
4. Turn off engine but leave ignition on.
5. Hold accelerator to floor whilst still in "D" for 1min minimum.
6. Turn off ignition, start car and take for test drive.

The procedure that i posted was from a manual but from memory as ive done it a few times in the past. Basically it has to read the throttle closed and fully open position. The closed is whilst engine is in idle and of course the open is when engine off. Both of these readings are taken whilst in "D".
