hey guys,

I have had some problems with my car (EA 3.9L mpfi) in regards to the revs at idle/neutral postion. i have posted in the ecu thread and ended up fixing some other issues....but i think this is mechanical..

I was playing with the throttle (at the TB) and it seems that after revving it, It doesnt return back to idle position and it holds on to revs. I can physically push it back with my hand and then the revs settle back to a normal speed for idle.

any ideas on resolving it. I dont think it would be a lack of tension on the throttle cable as that was replaced not too long ago.
Could it possibly just need a bit of a lube to make the metal move a bit more freely? anyone else had same issue?

i would suggest your first step would be to give it a healthy dose of carby cleaner? they do get a bit oil oiley residue in them..
