my question is how can i get this to fit

yes i have the origanl one
i was looking to update the look with a tickford badge on it
if i line up the bottom with the air box it dosent reach over the fans and sit on the support rail
and if i line up the top where you screw it down to the rail its about 2 inches further back then air box
ill go get some pics

you have to break some fins off the thermofans. From memory, only 2 fins so that the bend clears the fans. Then you have to either drill a new set of holes into the snorkel to fit the stock mounts, or you can the lip off a little so that it sits flush with the radiator support, but that means drilling 2 new mounting holes into the radiator support. If you go the latter, please make sure the drill bit you use is short or you have a stopper of some sort, don't want to go and drill into your radiator.

here are some pics
as you can see it is really tight against the fan and the hole dont line up

so yeah im going to have to drill some new holes
i think ill make them in the intake not drilling into the car unnecessary
