my cam isn't a wade regrind, its a billet cam - so its pretty expensive - about $450 or so...

don't think you need shims or anything for billet cams - yours is an EFII Ghia, so you should have an Tickford ECU in yours, so it should be all sweet! :P

hey all

just thought i'd post this up, as it may help a few people - i've got a stage 2 crow cam, and have had real issues getting the car to idle. i've had to double-foot it at the lights, and its just a pain in the a*** :?

but - the problem has been solved! i've got a tickford ECU in the car, and now it idles! 8-) holds at 700rpm in D - sits at the lights, without hunting or stalling - something i've been wanting it to do for ages!

but yeah - just thought i'd let everyone know, as it may help some people with similar problems

also, car feels a lot more responsive & revs out easier :)

:-) I've been telling everyone for about 5 years that Tickford ECU's have better idle with aftermarket cams (better "capture range"for low vacuum situation I suspect).
