I'd swap out the rotor button, dizzy cap and spark plug leads.

You don't have to go unbolting everything to change the leads, its a little bit cramped but with a carefully wielded screwdriver and a bit of contortionism its easy.

good way to take the leads and cap out is to tape the leads together into one big lead, pull the dizzy cap off from the front of the motor, and pull the leads through. easy as pie. u can install them the same way too.

Sounds like the dizzy is stuffed, probably poling out on the haul effect sensor. The bush wears out. Just replace the whole dizzy. If you get a replacement Bosch one, it will have a new cap & rotor too. Its a good idea to replace the ign coil at the same time.
