hey guys im wondering if my cats on its way out.
when i rev my motor i can hear sort of a fast ticking noise coming from under the car pretty much under where im sitting (around the same area as the cat) its annoying me coz it sounds like f**k s**t, my cars got pacemakers and a lukey exhaust but the stock cat. noise coming out of the exhaust sounds sweet and im pretty sure its not lifters or anything else in the engine that causes ticking. car has also started to feel a tad gutless i feel like im putting my foot down more than usual to get up to speed. f**k cat? any other ideas?

Could be an exhaust leak??? Have a look for one.

hmm yeh cheers i dunno though the exhausts only been on the car since october and it hasnt had any serious knocks or anything

I had that on a mates car right where the cat is. it turned out to be the fuel, put a tank of premium instead standard unleaded and it never did it again the engine was braking down under load and it echoed LOUD in the cat weird one hay. you could unbolt the cat off and test check it or unbolt it from extractors and give it a rev and see if it still dose it(she while be a bit loud) and if not bolt the cat on and unbolt the cat back system and try again and see if it dose it but you should have to do that if you remove the cat and give it a visual inspection
