I am getting a new head for my 3.9 as the stock 3.9 heads are $hit. Its either going to be a stock EL head or EB/ED XR6 head. I couldn't help but notice that XR6's only have 5 kw over a normal falcon.

so is it really worth spending the extra $$$ on a ticky head? car will also be coping BBM and other intake/cam and exhaust mods as well

youre prolly better off getting a std head and spending some money on it to get it flowing better than the tickford head.

but then again the ticky head already has the stronger valve springs...

XR heads have smaller ports but bigger valves,
If your going to port a head and give it even bigger valves etc, it'd be wise to use a stock 4.0 head as theres less 'meat' to take out of it and far cheaper to purchase!

I think JMM Dev heads are all standards and are done for this avaliabilty reason and have the larger ports.

The XR cam makes makes a little difference too but Not much.

I don't really wanna get into porting as its only my daily driver...

whats the go with fitting EF/EL ticky valves+springs onto a stock EF/EL head?
