I had a good look around my engine for leaks this morning, using a 30,000,000 candle power torch.
I noticed a small hole that seems half exposed, below the thermostat housing, where the head meets the timing cover, about 4mm out from the edge of the head? Anyone know what that is? Theres are signs oil has been leaking around that area, and under along the seem of the cover. |

It sounds similar to what is on my wifes engine. And I reckon its from someone using a screwdriver to try and pry the head off when replacing the head gasket.
