I'm reconnecting the wiring loom on my ef and most things are well labelled, however right at the front of the loom near the thermostat there is a flat washer connected to the loom. It look just like an earthing lead but I'm not sure if that's what it is or where it goes. Any ideas?

If the one im thinking of, its a grey with white stripe and comes out of the loom between cylinder 1 and 2, or thereabouts.

Its a grounding point and goes under the bolt that attaches the front BBM brace to the block. Just in front of the syncroniser.

That's my thought too - the colour does vary.
