mate youve most likely got a leak somewhere if it needed regassing its most likey leaking out again. either its the condensor or evap but usually when you change one to make it work the other part craps itself sooner rather than later.
go to an aircon joint and get it tested.

should cost around $800 to fix it all then you could make ice cubes in your car

My el xr6 has the same problem on a average temp day the aircon works but I have to have it on boost otherwise it won't cool the car, if it's on 3 or 2 it dnt cool the car and on a hot day it doesn't do much it cools a bit on boost, I think it needs re gassing

It does work, was regassed. In cooler weather i say it works fine but in heat and stop start traffic it is poor.

EG, 33 degrees, stop start traffic and even some freeway it was poor. Engine temps were round the R in Normal as well.

Seems as though the higher the ambient air is and car is, worse it gets and also if car is baking in the sun, takes a longggg time (20mins) for the air con to feel like its working.

TX valve is ruled out, Filter/Evapourater may be the issue on the cheap and Condensor/Compressor and evaporator is the expensive things

Based on this, can anyone pinpoint/had same issues and how was it resolved.

Im just glad in Sydney it hasnt been too hot of late

Can I ask how the TX valve has been ruled out? For starters I would be checking your cooling fans are operating correctly. The falcons have a big problem with the fans playing up. Has the system been checked with some gauges? Otherwise there are a couple of issues which may contribute. First is the recirc flap above the passengers footwell. They usually break and get stuck on fresh. Fresh will always be less effective than recirculate. Also the temperature dial can play up and leave the heater opened tap slightly ( I had this prolem in my old EF )

Check the evaporator line back to the compressor - should be cold and have condensation on it near the firewall after the system has been operating for about 10 mins on.

The condensor should be relatively even heat top to bottom - low gas usually has top hot and bottom only warm. Bit hard to get to with front bar on.

Just check that the LH thermo fan comes on when you turn on the A/C.

'Sounds' like you have a reasonable amount of refrigerant in the system.
Not a bad idea re the hot water tap - make sure it's opening and closing viewing with a torch, and feel the hoses into the airbox.
Pull the glovebox and make sure the hot/cold cable is adjusted and operating properly too.

check that the vac line has not come off the heater tap, as without vacuum the tap opens to let hot water through the heater core, so if this is the case your aircon is also blowing hot air through the vents...
