On topic.

Torque reduction exists in cases where the ECU detects a fault either in the auto trans or with one of the engine sensors.

V8's also have torque reduction in reverse, and in 1st gear to protect the boxes.

Yeah, No probs, I used to own a EB V8, I bet that would flog your little 302. My EB had 3.9s, mini spool and some good HP so I know how they go.

Ill beat ya no probs off the line and over the quarter. Ill do whilst drinkin my coffee.

My Eb V8 was a gun off the lights, but you fatty fairmont wouldnt have a chance next to my Eb V8 let alone my LS1.

The LS1 with a decent run should see mid to high 12s, so good luck

make sure you bring that $1000. ill hold ya to it

a) You should really do some research on what you are challenging before you accept.
b) 'Should' do 12s and 'has' done 12s... 2 very different things.
c) You ever dragged at a well prepared dragstrip before? Experience counts.

so by having this torque reduction removed in his ls1 edit, the odds are that his box will be shagged in no time then, correct?

It will do 12s. Who says im driving, ill let my mate take it down he goes every second week so I reckon ill lick him.

If the 302 is quicker then my LS1, then it wont matter who drives. If its quicker its quicker full stop. The guy driving the little 302 may be an experienced campaigner, im not, so lets even up the score.

It wont come down to the driver but the car like it should
