Ive been havin trouble with my trans, its been goin into "limp home" mode all the time ive finally took it to the mechanic and he told me its the solanoid in the trans thats causing the problem, firstly does that sound right and secondly where can u get one cause my mech says he can't get one and that evan ford didn't have one.

Yes the solenoids can cause limp home mode, easy to replace even at home. Ford should have these available if not it would be on the shelf at most transmission shops, most are less that $100 except S5 that being the dear one.
