Hey all,

Im looking at buying a 98' EL XR6, when looking under the body I noticed the flat bottom area of the transmission appeared to be coated in a a very small amount of oil.

Any idea at how much I'd be looking at paying?

Cheers, Liam.

If its the sump pan its common to have a slight sign of fluid around the pan but if its dripping and always wet its just the sump pan gasket or the bolts have to be tightened. Problem is if the gasket has to be replaced so does the fluid. Prob cost all up doing it yourself around $100 if you are also replacing the filter

Just get the gearbox serviced, good idea when you buy a new car anyway.
