Hi everyone,
I'm looking to work my new arrival xr6 series 2 au.
I just put in genie headers, 2.5" red back cat, 2 1/2 red back exhaust with 1 straight through muffler, bf fpv snorkel, BMC racing air filter, lowered springs and shocks.
I was talking to the guy at spencer race engines in Geelong who said I could expect 165rwkw from a sre cam with crow vernier gear and valve springs, and x3 tune. Though that doesn't sound right?
He said they use that on their own speedway cars but not sure if power is accurate without porting?
Is is better to just port my head, exhaust valves and etc or port & polish as I have heard a few different opinions leaning toward just porting it.
I'm looking to get around what my old one had which was just a sr (163rwkw)
Also the sre cam choice was
2500-5500rpm
Or 3000-7000rpm
I'm leaning towards the 2500 with a 2500/2800 stall, I have factory 3.45 LSD
Also can I put a shift kit on it if it has the adaptive shift auto? And who makes these on here close to Geelong?
Thanks for your help if you can,
And also I welcome any suggestions on what to do
