im trying to make my own air box and heat shield the inside of it. the trouble is finding the material to use for the box. i dont know what i should use or where to get it from
any help would be great

Depends what you want...a box design or just a "wall off" to section parts of the engine bay from the heat?

Either way, fibreglass with proper epoxy resin will do the trick. Heat proof, minimum heat soak, flexible to work with and can make any shape you want. Just depends if you want to fiddle with it...can get messy the first couple of times you do it but once you get the hang of it, will be easy.
