Hay guys got a problem I have been trying to solve,my car runs fine until 3k rpm under load and it starts to surge and make some sort of electrical sounds,then Change gear it will be fine until 3k rpm again...I have replaced spark plugs and fuel filter had the fuel pump checked (fine) and swapped coils with my mate and it still continues to do it..its alot worse powering up hills causing the the car to jerk and what sounds like the exhaust shaking to s**t under the car..any help would be great cheers

Checked the cat converter it's a little Beatin up but other then that it's fine

Nar it's not stock,it's got a stage 2 capa tune..I got a machanic to put it on a snap on computer witch He did Friday and found at 3k rpm the timing is spiking causing it to play up,why this is happening I have no idea ?

i would be spending the cash to get that thing custom tuned ASAP, If your timing is spiking on spool up your motor could go bang at any time.

A new tune will be alot cheaper than fixing bend rods, and cracked pistons...

while your at it, might be a good time to get a few extra mods done.
