Delo is making a bell housing to suit the xr6t, I'd say they'd be able to do one for an e series.

You can get a C4 bellhousing to suit the SHOC I6,

and before you say not strong enough, we've been using a C4 in a 3600lbs XD with a 1200HP 428 small block.

HiBoost has done it, but I don't think he'll give much info away, apparantly the bellhousing on the T400 was cut and modified to suit the falcon motor, then there's obviously the need for a custom convertor, tailshaft and gearbox mount.

How much power are you going to go for? Might as well go C4, would be easier and cheaper. Unless you want big big power.

A SHOC I6 engine will never make enough to kill a properly built C4

I dunno how much power they can handle, his reason was because the place that built it would warrant it for upto 1400HP, can't complain!

I agree with tickford_6 the C4 built right is a box with balls. Why wast stupid amounts of money and time when it's all ready waiting for you.

TH400 housing will be cut and an adaptor plate will be made up to suit motors exsisting bellhousing then custom converter.

There has to be a gearbox builder in ur state to build u a tuff C4 and warrant it???

If not i can recommend my box builder and others across the country that mates have used.

Also if u want a heavy duty TH400 my mate is getting his built to handle 3000hp :D but i think its actually a TH350

a TH350 would never take that much power only a TH400 will.. but it would cost more than 10gs just to build the box...

The T400 is a three speed transmission yeah? Are there any four speeds getting around worthy of being built for a tough-as-nuts conversion? I just like the idea of having an overdrive for a bit of economy. I know you don't build a performance car for fuel economy, but when i do alot of 100-110kmh driving, i don't want to be wringing the engines neck lol.

You can get urself an AOD for a Ford engine of you can adapt a TH700 behind a windsor or cleveland with an adaptor plate.

My gearbox previous gearbox builder said he could go the whole conversion for me but im all ford :D

Gear vendors overdrive unit? Effectively turning your 3 speed box into a 6 speed box.

Gear vendors overdrive unit are expensive, i was quoted $2500.00 installed and yes u can turn it into a 6 speed by splitting the gears or just just over driver.
