What, too much nm tourqe?

Where did you get this info, the local kindergarden? How much power (kw) and torque (nm) the engine outputs is irrelevant.

Its how the engine physically fits into earlier falcons engine bay that is the main problem. Then deciding how to run the thing is the next issue.

As your only 17 however i think your main issue will be finding the minimum $15 000-25 000 it would cost to do such a conversion.

bolts straight in, no modifications needed. Dont worry about the ECU. She'll be right.

Bonnet buldge? Pfft... just slam the bonnet hard enough, it will buldge soon enough.

In short, it will go in, but costs alot... And so far no one has done it and had it roadworthy.

With the money you'd spend putting the stock 270kw (190-200rwkw i assume) typhoon motor in, you could have 300+rwkw putting a turbo on an EF/EL sohc I6.

The rocker cover at the front will stick out the bonnet and because its so close to the front even with a smooth sleek scoop it probobly wouldnt be able to be registered in vic cause of pedestrian injury

So close to the front? Its 1/2 way up the bonnet

Is the BA bump illegal? Because thats all it needs

Its funny, BA into e-series has been done before (and also more difficult engine conversions like nissan RB's and toyota v8's) yet people still get flamed for asking about it.

Guess the moral of this thread is if your young dont try anything different.

Kinda hard to take it seriously though, isn't it?
Fact is, if you've got the dosh and will to do it, you aren't going to come onto an internet forum and ask 'can it be done'.

Exactly. Threads like this come from pipe dreamers saying 'yeah im gonna do this, when in reality 90% of the time it never gets done'

i think he just wants to know 'can it be done', not 'im 17 and just bought an ef, now i wish it was a ba'.

why don't we all leave our cars stock and change the site's name to stockmods.com.

i 100% agree with stockstandard. not many have undertaken it, so the info isn't out there.
if you had a complete ba setup sitting in your garage and an ef shell, you could measure it all up and modify where required.
