i was down at my mechanics today checking on how my car is going, i have just had an au conversion done on my el and they were wiring up my alternator and when they put the leads back on the battery, they fried a ground wire, problem is that now i have no hazards they dont flash, my stereo doesnt get power, the demister display is constantly on and she's not starting
 . any ideas on what it could be

checked all fuses and relays shorting a ground wire will probably b low most fuses

i think ive checked most of the fuses, internal ones all seem ok, the ones in the bay were ok i think, i might just replace them all until she runs again
|

coulda fried alot of things including BEM and ECU also

Well, if it was the mechanics mistake - you shouldn't pay anything. Was driving when you took it in there right?

if they managed to connect the battery in backwards, there could be quite a bit of damage

 all u gotta do is tell them " you f**kd it you fix it....and its free" its not your fault ,,they could of seriously screwed your ride.

Chech the main fuse near batt, you have to take out a screw b4 you can chaeck it. They should fix.

main fuse, is that the ones in front of the six in that case?

 the stereo keeps blowing fuses, i was down there again today, and i noticed that the tx fuse had blown and also the fuse on the back of the stereo, i think its starting to become more clear that the bem is gone, because the smartlock doesnt flash and the remote for the doors and boot wont work on it

Dont check anything yourself as they may hold you liable for any further damage and even the damage the mechanic caused. As others have stated "they caused it so they should fix it"

We seized a VS commodore about a week ago, we had to supply the customer with a loan car, fix the engine and everything for zero cost.
