I don't use Plain old unleaded. Premim and above..
BP or Shell Only. My old Dunnydore used to love Caltex, but the falc only likes BP or Shell.
If I could afford it BP Ultimate all the way!!

Haha, I used to think that as my old car hated it, but current one loves it?? Cruising I get 730+ from BP, 700ish from Shell, 670ish from Caltex (All 98Octane)

But was stock ECU on all tests, we shall see the results of TI Performance J3 Chip soon.

The GT-P is tuned for it, anything else runs like a**.

Yep, I use 98 octane in my stock engine/*untuned car and noticed an extra 400km per tank :roll:

i use vortex 95 premium got more kms and runs smoother throught rev range.... would use 98 if i could afford it. lol

Vortex 98 or BP Ultimate. I get a little less km with the Vortex but the car seems to run a little smoother at times when it wouldnt on Ultimate. Vortex also feels like it gives slightly more power but who knows for sure.

Anyone know anything about United Fuel?

Recently went on a trip to Forster in NSW and filled up at one for fair cheap but then when we actually got to Forster went in to find another United station offering unleaded (not E10) for 107.5 the whole week (ie no cheap tuesday) when everyone else in town was 119.9 etc

However the United only 1 or 2 cars in it every time I saw it...made me wonder if there was a reason it was so cheap..?

I don't know if you're poking fun at me or not, but either way, here's a independently commissioned report covering race fuels, 98RON, 95RON, and some ethanol blended fuels for performance.

I'll save you reading the whole lot, here's the conclusion.

fuel efficient. It is worth noting though that on a budget the ethanol blend fuel is
clearly well worth it. (For power)

CONSTANT PERFORMANCE
Another point worth noting what is not evident in the test is the way the fuel
reacts to tuning.
For example ELF Turbomax and LMS certainly sustained more power after
successive power runs, (when engine heat build up occurs). No other fuel was
as consistent. Sunoco would be a close second in this
category. Martini and other fuels were not tested, nor have been used as much
by MRT to confidently give a opinion.

No, wasn't aimed at you....hahahaha, i just realised in my tired state i wrote tuned instead of untuned :oops: (was aimed any who have or are going to try and justify the extra cost of using 98 octane in a stocko i6's not tuned for it against the km's gained).

On a side note in reference to your article, ethanol fuels can be great for performance, but if using them you really want to take advantage of compression/tuning as ethanol has lower volumetric energy density than regular petrol.
