Ask Joe to install some bigger injectors mate. You will get more power without the leanout!! It sounds like the injectors maxxing out.

Would now be a good time for Joe to see if the better spray pattern of the AU injectors would make any difference? As a first step towards other solutions that is.
Glad you got such a good result, but that's what you'd expect from CMS isn't it?
Paul

yeh, the bigger injectors is something that will need doing, the AU's is what we fitt as they flow & spray better than the early ones, although I dont think he will make more hp but may be slightly more torque...just need to get a 1/4 mile time & see how she goes..........

thanks

Joe

great figures kenwood... perhaps on your way soon to cracking a 150KW run if you sort the leaning out and injectors...

can someone please explain to me why leaning out at 170kph is such a bad thing? lol

I mean, hes gonna get to a little over 150kph on the 1/4 mile so it should be right? Or am i missing something here

yes and no, the leaning out is at high rpm, i just remember it was at about 170 in a 4th gear run, it effectively runs out in every gear at the top of the range, as Joe said the injector may give a little bit but not much. the main issue keeping the torque and hp down is compression, if i can get that up then it will be a lot higher. need to organise a 1/4 run, problem is timing as i dont get home from work until about 8ish but will work on it.

thx mate, the injectors wont see 150s im afraid, bottom end just cant do it, *YET*....

probably not, more likely injectors mate would have a better chance of fixing the leaning out.
