Hi there does anyone know if the au vct engine hooks up elec wise to the std au. Also i will be useing the original 4 speed auto that is in my ute are they the same autos. My std engine needs replacing asap & i would prefer to use the vct engine any help would be much appreciated cheers.

you can keep your transmission, the vct will need a vct computer/ wiring harness to suit vct or an rpm switch,this is just my limited knowledge on vct from what ive been reading, but the transmission is definatly the same
