Do i need to loosen the chain tensioner to adjust the vernier gear on my ef?

Goes heaps better at 2 degrees advanced(couldnt notice it at 1 degree)So id say it was taking up the slack in the 230,000 timing chain :lol:

each mark on the vernier is worth 2 degrees.

I dont see why it would, it said 1,2,3,4,5. not 2,4,6,8,10. And there was no info at all on the instructions so id have to say it advances and retards 5 degrees either way,in 1 degree incriments

oh ok then, just that alot of brands are in 2 degree increments. What brand is it?

Can anyone confirm if it has 1 or 2 degree incriments,i know its a crow cams gear.I fitted it.

They are all 2 degrees.

It might come in Crow packaging, but they are all made by Romac and are usually branded Rollmaster. And they mark their gears for every 2 degrees.
