Is it even illegal to race up to the speed limit? If there's no burnout, and no roadrule is broken, I don't see why you couldn't go up to the speed limit...

exactly, so no road rule was broken, you can go as fas as u want up to speed limit, and exaclty what u said if no burnout ect is done then its fine.

we all know the road rules and thats for people who want to obay them, in this case they were.

so conversation is over about this.

down in victoria, its obviosuly diff, but it also comes down to who the cop is, but its not demmed breaking the law. but i see where everyone is comming from but this topic is about someone racing a VN, not about me and what happened in the past.

the car will be up for sale in december though boys.

keep you posted on more info.

Well then, Police here must be pushing the rules on entrapment then... Cos a few of my mates have been done by undercovers at the lights, the old "wanna run?" "Sure!" off they go, as soon as they hit the speed limit, the pigger backs off, waits until my mate go 30km/h over the speed limit, whacks a speeding fine of $500-odd and 3 month suspension. Only one that got done for neg driving did a massive burnout off the start...

It probably depends on whether or not ur a P plater too... I don't condone any p-plater speeding or driving any way that'd get you failed when you went for them, I wrote off 2 cars on my p's due to speeding, I was lucky I didn't get locked up for one, it's just not worth it. You are never as good a driver as you think you are, but especially in the 1st few years your driving!
