Thanks Big Kev, well said.

In the end its up to the customer, and we all know that. Lets not blow this thread out of proportion anymore.

Cheers

Yes, good to see the thread is civil again.

Yeah it was, but only because that was the other cams that were being compared in the first post. I personally feel that the best company to shop from are the ones that have the product that suits your needs best. When I was buying my last cam, that happened to be wade only because the 1521a profile has the specs I wanted. I am building an engine at the moment thats not going to have a wade because another manufacture has a profile that suits it better. I know it doesnt matter anymore, but I think I am getting a reputation as someone who will turn up at your house and beat you with a 1004 if you dont buy wade and thats pretty much the opposite of what I was trying to say.

I think that you and haggis summed up my point better than I did so ill leave it at that.

RPD and RPD rocker gear is still a cheaper combo than a billet cam, and wade don't offer money back if your not happy.. your only a number to them.. go the RPD if your not happy, then go to wade.. sound reasonable? But I have been running various RPD cams shimmed correctly there is no problem at all.. there are options out there for you.. just read and ask.

Brand loyalty is fine, together with the right to express ones' opinion. Let us be clear however that on this particular thread, Wade Cams is the only Company to whom disparaging remarks have been made. I see no point or need to denegrate any supplier just to promote another.

To suggest that we treat our customers like "numbers" is, in my view, not only untrue, but offensive.

We do not supply a written 100% money back offer on our cams. There are a considerable percentage of instances where a client will ignore our recommendation for a camshaft profile in favour of advice from "a mate". That is his right, l don't deny that. You can appreciate however that we would be less than willing to offer a refund to a customer who ordered a cam that we advised against as a result of finding that it didn't work as we said it wouldn't. Is that wrong? Are we unreasonable? I think not.

I'm not familiar with RPD cams. I have no doubt they provide an excellent product. Even though they are "the opposition", you will never hear of Wade Cams saying anything negative about them or any other supplier. It is not appropriate behaviour and serves no purpose.

Promote whichever supplier you like on this forum, but, may l suggest that you refrain from denegrating other suppliers just to make your preferred product appear superior.

Cheers

what was stated was his opinion, we're not trying to start s**t fights, all dc_todd was saying, was that in his opinion, RPD products should be trialed, because they get a definate money back guarantee, and you can't go wrong.

Its nice that you're not negating other companies, and we are the same, hopefully people will understand that dc_todd was just expressing his opinion.

Cheers

Everybody wants something different from a camshaft.

People like Chris at Wade, Ron at Crow, or Jay at RPD have to make an educated decision based upon the info they receive from the customer.

Unfortunately, the customer is always right. Even when they're completely wrong, the customer is always right.

Personally, I don't mind a slight lump at idle but I also want an engine that pulls from idle. That's what suits me.

thats would have to be the stupidest post i've ever seen.......

by the way if people would spend the time and money to modify their cars properly, there would be no idle problems at all, but no, every one wants a stock ECU and big cam.
