my dads ef has suffered what i think is a common problem in the falcons. when you turn the air con on it seems to drip water down onto both sides of the passenger and drivers foot well. this once happened in an old xf and we changed the entire heat condenser i think it was? (had to take entire dash out) now has this happened to anyones ef? and if so is there a cheaper and easier way to fix it?? if so can you pleae outline how to do it so i can try fix it for my old man. thanks guys. :)

The air con drain pipe is possibly blocked .

Jack up the car look under the LHS you will see a small 7mm rubber pipe . Get a small piece of wire to clear it and it water will start to run out.

as dasmq said, the drain pipe is clogged. quite often with small bits of foam used as insulation in the air conditioner break off and clogging the drain.
thin piece of wire with a small hook on the end it the way to go. may be easier to get to underneath, but you should be able to feel around on the passenger side of the firewall from above and find the pipe. Insert wire into hole and drag the crap out.

On our EL the sound deadening felt on the firewall was over the top of the drain outlet and there was no rubber pipe like in the books so it was a bit more difficult to locate the drain and I had to cut a small hole in the felt to expose the drain hole.

seeing as everyone else is jumping on the "blocked drain pipe" bandwagon, heres a suggested cure:

thin piece of wire (like a bit of mig welding wire) to clean the crap out, then just wriggle a thin strip of a nylon souring pad into the end with 1/2 of it poking out, this stops mud wasps, etc crawling in there and making thier nests......

In my xh water condenses on some of the plastic trim inside the glove box, the fix was to attach some foam (i thought is was a blocked pipe, however clearing the pipe done nothing and since putting in the foam I havent had any issues).

it's under the car, crawl underneath and have a look on the firewall around where the passengers feet are
