Hi guys, Im removing my power steering pump and water pump in preperation of the new one's coming( There both rooted).

Anyway, the bolts on the power steering brackets are nerly IMPOSSIBLE to get off, any tricks to get em off? there seized as s**t.

as smithy said rp7, i use crc 5.56 spary it around the bolt head and let it sit for a minute or two then spray it again. work you spanner left and right to crack the bolt and also allow to soak into the threads. for exaple loosen the bolt 3-4 turns and then tighten it 2 turns then repeat loosen it then tighten it. this will help to dissolve and rust thats binding the threads together

um i would say use a breaker bar then slide 3/4 inch steel tube spray a lil lithium grease then then force should start to get it off (thats what we did with the same problem) :lol:

if ya can't get the bolts out of the head then remove the ones on the front of the pump,,,a bit more fiddly but better than stuffing it...
