After 250000km the lifters in my au decided they've had enough. So I've replaced them with a new set, unfortunatly after doing this they are still noisy and a new noise has appeared. It's different to the lifter noise, it sounds more like a sharp crack similar to somthing shorting out. I've had alook in the dark but I can't see any sparks jumping from anywhere. I'm completly stumped.
Any ideas?

did you blead the liffters in oil for 24hrs?
could be injector knock?

Lifter noise is gone. But only after completely dismantling the rocker gear and giving it a thorough clean out.
Also put in a new cam it's a waggot 766, and holy s**t doesn't it go now. It ran on the standard computer but is way to big for the standard tune, so I plugged in a chiptorque chip that was pre loaded with their hp4 tune, that cleaned it up heaps but still needs a cutom tune to be at it's best. Gains are right through the rev range but the power really pours on at 4 grand right through to god knows where cause I haven't had it over 6 yet, but everything looks promising and deffinatly better than the piece of rubbish I got from crow cams.

good call would love to see a graph on this cam sounds like its got some balls to it.

I'm excited to. I'm not sure what it gona give before it gets a full tune but I'm thinking it should be around the 145-150 mark as it sits.
