Isn't blue smoke burning oil?

So are the rings on the pistons knackered and letting it past?

Did you do any tests before you pulled the head off? Pressure test the cooling system? Compression test each cylinder?

Cheers,
Tim

its not blowing blue smoke that i know of now but it still condensation pouring out the exhaust

no i did not test the compression of the head or the cooling system a friend just told me that it might be the inlet manifold on the water side it might have a crack in it and letting water in the fuel and gas

Remember the Cat turns exhaust gasses into less harmful gasses plus H2O... Hence you see it run out of some peoples exhaust...

Does the car use water?

Was coolant ever used? May have corroded through into a cylinder?

When you pulled the head off were any cylinders shiney inside/under the head that would indicate proper burning was not happening? Unlikely to be the inlet manifold... Never seen it... Usually leaks from water gullies through the head gasket into the cylinders...

I'd be running some tests on it to see what the issue is...

Cheers,
Tim

Does the car use water? [not sure have not had the motor long]

Was coolant ever used? [May have corroded through into a cylinder? when i took the motor out of other car i got it had coolant]

When you pulled the head off were any cylinders shiney inside/under the head that would indicate proper burning was not happening? Unlikely to be the inlet manifold... Never seen it... Usually leaks from water gullies through the head gasket into the cylinders...[no there was no shiny bits on the cylinders]

I'd be running some tests on it to see what the issue is...[ yes i will go and get a Compression test
toromorrow and and do some test now what about the tap noise as far as i know they are new and the head has been sitting for two years]

if you've only run the car for 5-10 mins since the reco head, the chances are you still have oil/much/water in the exhaust, it takes a good hot run to remove all foreign s**t from the pipes.

no harm done mate... At least were smart enough to get it all out and not leave it there and cause a hydraulic lock... Then you'd be in trouble... Just check the oil and make sure it isn't milky or that you can see water on the dipstick... If so change the oil...
