well i started pulling my head of on tuesday morning and notice two tentioner pullys were rooted and the radiator was leaking too so i left it at that and went to work the got back onto it in the avo well we got it off easy as pie but when we took the head off (had to separate it from the block) we snapped the left hand chain guide now it's fun and games using the only hours i have after work to fix it oh gota give it to ford they shure made a improvement there what a pain in the a** litteraly now i gota wait for my mate to port the head and service it wont be done by the week end:(

Just like everyone breaks the plastic tabs on the exterior window sill trims when removing them. I did, every single one. No other way around it.....

i've never broken any of the guides when doing a head change..

i have how ever rounded two of the bolts trying to remove them.

yer i should have bought a commy ay so then i can have motors blowing up at 170k like hand grenades that gorjus bottom end knock that now comes standard on all commys and some nice dextron 3 pissing out of my power steer pump oh a bit of pistion slap would be nice too hahaah bloody boat anchors thats all there good for

well there is one other thing a commy is good for... bonfires but apart from that they cane even hack it as a paddock bomb!

I made a set of tools for taking the heads off......anyway you still have to be careful.
Makes the job a bit easier.
