You want roller rockers? How hard do you plan on revving the thing? What are your diff gears?

the way you have said you want to go is the go, lol.

350 holley with a redline manifold and a good set of extractors and exhaust is your first step, dont worry about roller rockers and a huge cam, the 250 is a nice torquey engine that doesnt need to rev its tits off, get a cam to take advantage of the torque you have already got, something that works from 2000-5000 is perfect.

i would go for around a 3.5:1 diff, locked of cause :)

i agree with yobbo,, thats basically whats in mine

350holley, redline manifold, extractors, zorst and a 1800-4800 cam... 9.8:1 comp... runs great.. all i need is a shorter diff and all is good..
nice torque and it revs smooth as

also if its for off street remove ALL the polution gear

The mods you mentioned were close to the TE cortina that my son had done before the V8 conversion and that with a 3.9 diff & the head of a injected mtr run a best of I think was either a 14.8 or 14.9

The rods are a weak link in the crossflow 250. Carby wise a 465cfm Holley 4 barrel will outdo the 350 anyday! but fuel wise you will know it. John Cain makes Cain manifolds or used to make them for the Xflow 250(Newcastle NSW).
