what coolent do people use for their 4.0l falcons and why.

nulon red or green anitfreeze. 5 litre bottle of concentrate aswell as 10 litres of demineralised water.

i use motorcraft coolant..
because its factory recomended.and it is concentrated so you can mix it your self..

i hate that cheapo pre mixed rubbish..

After I changed my fluid and drove up the road it jumped right up to half way then went back down and has never been up since, I'm not sure why.

It usually sits around the T in temperature mark.

in this weather mine sits around 1/4 and will go up to 1/2 if im stoped in traffic for a while. but as soon as the thermo fans come on or i start driving again its back to 1/4..

ok mine starts off like normal and works up until its sits about half and the xr dash is this normal?

Mine has never gone above the start of the normal sector, so probably about 1/4. I have a 82deg thermostat

:D Prob had a air lock.

I recently asked same question & settled for Nulon long life(3yrs) concentrate @ 50/50 mix.
Apparently if you mix over 60% coolant it starts loosing its affect!
