sorry i missed your post..
the silicon hose has stoped the cable from melting, its been on there for about a year and a half..
here is a pic of how close it is to the turbo..

Puting heat wrap on some brands of headers voids the warranty....so says Pacemaker.
I used s/s radiator hose clamps to hold the heat shield material to the headers.

I got my Pacemakers HP coated. It dropped the temps of the engine bay by a huge amount and its doesn't melt anything near them.
