Looking back at my invoices from past services by Ford, it states that a "minor tune" has been done on every service I've had. just wondering now, what work does this involve?
Its not adjusting the idle speed because its listed as a separate item (also listed on every service)

Didn't care too much of what it meant in the past because the car went better after the services, but now I'm wondering is it just all s**t?

Oh, and its a BA falcon.

Idle speed is not adjustable on a BA, Nor are there any ways of 'tuning' the car.

plug shouldn't need to be changed until 120 000km or 100 000 for LPG cars.

Ask the service people what it means, and how much it cost it adds to the service, then opt not to have it done.
Better yet stop going to ford and go to a privet mechanic.

minor service normally include oil change + filter sometimes plugs although if platium will last 100,000k and check of all saftey, including washer water, wiper blades, brake fluid and anything else like that but you still pay for any parts.

but really stuff all ather than hooking it to the diagnostics test. well to the best of my knowlege

My bad, it actually wrote "minor engine tune"

But anyway to add to this, the service reports had crap in there like...
1) adjusted idle speed
2) adjusted air/fuel mix ratio
3) reset timing

and one time, 'changed air filter'. I thought s**t. Did they take out my K&N panel filter and throw it the f**k out? They couldn't be that stupid (though the joke was really on me for paying for it). Went back to them after reading it and got 'store credit only' for my next service.

Doing most of the basic stuff myself now but I never realised how much Ford Service actually get away with.
