I have been reading other members topics on rough idling and problems with cold running engines and I am 1 of them.My question is,is the IAT sensor known by another name. Here in New Zealand the only thing that closely resembles that name is IAC Intake Airflow Controller which sells at $500.00 only from a Ford dealer.I see that some guys have purchased 1 from between $35 and $120.

Intake Air temp sensor?

Just tell them that and they should be able to figure it out.

I recently replaced my IAT (intake air temperature) sensor on my EL. Had poor take off on a cold engine. Ford wanted $136.00 but got one from Repco for $36.00. The sensor is located in the centre of the intake manifold.
